Spiritual Formation is the process of the Holy Spirit working in us in such a way that we naturally come to live as Jesus did, in the whole of our lives. We invite God's spirit to transform us inwardly so we live differently outwardly, making the way of Jesus the way of life. A spiritual formation group exists for the growth of the whole person by an intentional focus on one's spiritual and interior life - to be changed from the inside out and to affirm that what we seek is worth seeking. We gather for encouragement and accountability as we practice spiritual disciplines. Some of the spiritual disciplines are contemplative prayer, meditation on the word (scripture), readings from various spiritual writers (past and present), practicing silence and retreat, and engaging in social action. While effort is necessary, the work is God's and not ours. Please feel welcome to join us.

Prayer is one way we actively connect with God and experience union with Him. Storyline desires to cultivate dependence on God as we wait in quietness and trust. Gathering for prayer as a community of believers is our response to God's invitation to "seek His face" and "call upon Him" (Isaiah 55:6). The prayer team of storyline exists to pray for leadership and the larger community of storyline. We also endeavor to plan and provide opportunities for the congregation to experience corporate prayer together, bringing to individuals and the larger group a variety of prayer forms and methods to help encourage and deepen one's relationship with God.

The prayer team is a group of people who gather to pray regularly for the ongoing work of Storyline, it's leadership, individual needs, our surrounding communities and beyond. Prayer requests may be placed in the blessing box and will be prayed over by the prayer team. Anything shared will be held in confidence.
