Continue reading »]]> Thanks to Mike Bredeweg for once again making us laugh and reflect on how we are living.  He had so many great points in his talk, if you weren’t with us on Sunday morning I hope you get the chance to listen to it online.

He had one line that challenged me personally so much…something like, “…I always think being on honest about my weaknesses will repel people, but actually it does just the opposite, it draws people in and draws people together.”  Gosh, I hope that is true for Storyline, that we are and continue to grow as a community of people who are open about our brokenness and shortcomings.  We believe God has given us a mission to connect lost and broken people (and that is ALL of us) to Him – what a great reminder that this begins and works best when we are honest with ourselves, each other and others about ourselves.
